Back in 2012, I was given the challenge of bringing project-based learning to my first group of upper secondary schools in Spain. I realized at the time that almost no one was addressing the needs of educators when introducing curriculum. Therefore, I decided that we had to put educators at the center of our concept and help them find creative ways to use technology in the classroom. Arduino Education is not just about making interesting projects with students, it is also about getting acquainted with developing technologies and new methods of teaching.

Key areas of responsibility

Your focus as Area Sales Manager - EDU is to build strong partner relationships and to drive customer success of the Arduino Education resellers in your territory. You will be part of a team based in multiple geographical locations, hence it is a plus if you have experience of working and collaborating in virtual teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop sales strategy for your market, aligned with overall business targets.
  • Build customer trust and foster a customer-centric culture where a strategic approach to the partnership will help you achieve ambitious growth targets in the coming years.
  • Meet or exceed revenue and business targets while executing in accordance with Arduino Sales processes.
  • Drive Account Planning and Account Management excellence among existing clients and new business.
  • Seek growth opportunities in your territory and build and monitor customer business plans.
  • Lead by example, by being personally engaging, supporting and coaching of resellers in bringing and growing the use of creative technologies in their educational market.
  • Be a “go-getter” with a positive mindset that can collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders and departments.
  • Pipeline management and forecasting for your territory.
  • Weekly and monthly sales reporting to management.
  • Frequent travel is required in this role.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven sales success and expertise in selling solutions to EDU customers/resellers.
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent organizational skills with problem-solving mindset.
  • Industry knowledge from the education and technology field.
  • Experience in information technology-related sales or marketing.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor’s degree within the field of economics, engineering, technology, business or equivalent.
  • Master’s Degree or relevant equivalent educational background preferred but not required.
  • Fluent in English and any given Scandinavian language.
